I recieved this from Dabigkahuna a few days ago

This Winged Liberty has what looks like to us a broken Planchet or Cracked Planchet or Lamination error (Although it goes clearly through the coin



You can see the crack starting from Miss Liberty's leck line, down to the rim.


Here you will see that the crack goes right through the T and E in States.

The crack goes right through the coin. What do you think PCGS would do with this?

NGC would bodybag it.I don't know about PCGS though.

Nice Merc other than the crack. I think PCGS will bodybag it as damaged.

Sorry, it looks like a damaged coin to me.

Neither PCGS or NGC would bag this coin. This is an error coin that will slab. Of course, you must send it in under the error tier, not regular.

It does indeed look like a cracked planchet. A minor crack, to be sure. Most error collectors like so see cracks that extend well into the body of the coin.
