I'm not sure if this privy is Canadian or not. Could be American.

Not really sure how to put a price on one of these, either.

I assume you are referring to the Maple Leaf privy marks. If so, the pricing should be just like the regular ones with just a little premium at the most.

Found this via a google search (from a Canadian coin and stamp seller 2001 newsletter): A special edition Silver Maple Leaf, privy marked for the 2000 Hanover, Germany Exposition fetches $30-40.

What is the meaning of these privy marks?

The BRM web site defines a privy mark: Secret mark incorporated in the design of a coin or medal to identify the minter, or even the particular die used. The term is also used more loosely to denote any small symbol or initials appearing on a coin other than a mint mark, and is sometimes applied to the symbols associated with the trial of the Pyx found on UK coins.
