Post-Career Cards Added to Master Sets?

I noticed that a 2003 Ripken card was added to his Master Set. I thought that only career-years cards were added to Master Sets, and that post-career cards only went into Player Sets - which I also thought the registry stopped doing. Is this a change, or was I mistaken? What's the rules for post-career cards?

  • i noticed that too. it shouldnt be there.
  • I wanted to do the same thing. I wanted to list a player who played from 1928 to 1947 and then coached from 1948 to 1968, but BJ said that they only go one year past the players last year playing.

She stated that in the future this may be added, but not at this time, since it would open a can of worms.

So, it must be a mistake, but I would like to see it.

  • If they start doing that people like Wayne Gretzky Mickey Mantle Babe Ruth and Nolan Ryan would have 100,000 cards. By the BJ Searls is a female? I thought BJ was male. It would explain a few things.
