thus far, i've generated lists for these guys-
Tim Horton
Jean Beliveau
Rocket Richard
Gordie Howe
Ken Dryden
Guy Lafleur
Bobby Hull
Brian Trottier
and a request for a 1962 Shirriff coin set (for personal reasons, of course)
i'm new to set requests, so i could use some help. should the Basic set include both the OPC and Topps versions? also, i have comprehensive lists of every card issued during the listed players careers. should i submit those? if i can only submit cards that have been graded, it'd be a problem. i dont have access to the pop reports.
someone please give me some guidance, cause i really want to get the ball rolling on the hockey registry.

I assume you are going to submit through a PSA authorized dealer?
In my experience with player sets (baseball), only the Topps card is in the Basic set. I agree with this. For hockey, I would want to see only the OPC version in the basic set, and leave the Topps issue to the Master set. I don't think that both cards should be in a Basic set since they are basically the same card.

Now collecting:
Topps Heritage
1957 Topps BB Ex+-NM
All Yaz Items 7+
Various Red Sox
Did I leave anything out?
<< <i>Jeb , That's a good point but on the other hand in baseball player registry sets all major companies cards are included (ie Topps, Fleer, Donruss). I think that in Hockey at least both Topps & OPC could be considered major card manufacturers.

That would be up to the hockey collectors to decide, but from my point of view, I would not want to have a basic set that is comprised of basically 2 identical cards - the only difference being a few words printed in French and a different card stock. That is what a Master set is for, IMHO.

Jeb,
i meant that i was going to submit player set requests to PSA. i believe that you have to provide 3 serial numbers per set, so if i'm short i'll just lift a few serial numbers off ebay for verification purposes.

You talk about being honest, then you make a statement like that? Submitting serial numbers that are not yours is against PSA's rules.
