Canadian Registry

If anyone out there follows the Canadian Registry, what set/collector do you think is doing the best job, and why?
For the five cent pieces, I think that the best set, though incomplete is Northern Lights Collectionimage Just kidding!, but seriously, which sets are the up and comers, or definite champs.

I've got to give credit to both Northern Lights and the Lantern Collection. Though the two collections follow different philosophies (Lights = find the best, Lantern = go for the most), each should be applauded.

I wonder who that Northern Lights character is, anyway image

    Edited to fix link.

Both are nice sets. My sets (Gene B. collection) are nice, just not certified. I do add to them when I find nice ones. I've also got a bunch in for grading. Rec'd 3/2/04, current turnaround 72 days, maybe I'll see them in June image

    Holy frijoles!

I thought my Canadian collection would look good if I got all my coins slabbed and registered, but I woudn't be anywhere near either Northern Lights of Lantern! image

I sometimes wonder what grades PCGS would give my Victoria, Edward, and George large cents, but I'm not going to spend $15 a pop to find out. image

Lantern and Northern Lights have me clearly beat in Business Stike 5 cents, but I'm leading the pack in Specimens. But, wow, look at all of those holes I have to fill image

Send in a few to find out, then let us all know.
  • I was just looking through the various sets, and this one really caught my eye - wow...although I don't collect cents - this one is great

Stewart has a great eye for coppers, so I'm not surprised ... but that is an exceptional set!! image

Will they be worth twice as much if they're in PCGS plastic? image

Some coins are worth more than twice as much in a slab!, but some coins don't get any extra value. For me, the slab is a benefit because it is a great protection against damage.
