Ebay sales versus SMR value

If anyone gives a hoot, just sold a handful of graded cards on Ebay and thought I would list the final auction prices versus the SMR values. Obviously nothing high end here - just some perspective. As I am a new Ebayer, there may have been some impact due to my low feedback rating. All Topps baseball.

1965 #513 Yankees Team PSA 6 SMR $30 Sold $23
1967 #150 Mickey Mantle PSA 5 SMR $115 Sold $88
1967 #200 Willie Mays PSA 7 SMR $90 Sold $123
1967 #250 Hank Aaron PSA 7 SMR $90 Sold $62
1967 #569 Rod Carew PSA 6 SMR $140 Sold $94
1967 #570 Maury Wills PSA 6 SMR $75 Sold $47
1968 #220 Harmon Killebrew PSA6 SMR $15 Sold $12
1968 #240 Al Kaline PSA 6 SMR $25 Sold $13
1968 #280 Mickey Mantle PSA 5 SMR $100 Sold $87
1968 #290 Willie McCovey PSA7 SMR $20 Sold $21
1968 #369 Yaz All Star PSA 7 SMR $15 Sold $12
Net of all cards sold SMR $715 Sold $582

I figured 75-80% of SMR, and net auctions came in at 81%.
I thank the card God for the dude who bid on the Mays card.
For what it's worth. Regards to all.

Those results seem pretty typical. Same for auctions: I paid about 70 -80% of SMR for several cards in the last Superior Auction.

No 8's and they are mid to late '60s stars? I think that you did darn well.
  • That 67 Aaron was pretty dissapointing. Was it a low end seven, centered poorly or what? I wish I had paid attention that one, need one for set.

Vargha - thanks. I was fortunate to finish up right around my optimistic projection.

Jaybyrd - the Aaron was solid. I had plopped a post on the vintage forum when it was lingering out there with a low bid. I'll keep you in mind when I send my next round of 67's in for grading.

    Regards.
