I don't know what the connection is, but cool card

Honus Wagner, Ichiro, and Mantle. Three very different players with nothing in common to my knowledge, still pretty sweet though. The packs are a trip, they look like something out of Star Trek.

    he did nice on the triple, matsui, and maybe prior but he must have felt sick to spend $150+ on that Cepeda gu/30!

    They were all Negro-League All Stars at one point in their careers. Betcha didn't know that one!

    7 MVP awards, the single season HR record, career walks record, single season walks record, 700HR/500SB, and two batting titles near 40 years old. How can one argue that those aren't stats of the greatest to ever play the game??? All this and there is still more to come!!!! Bonds:2005 NL MVP. Or are you going to doubt him again?

    There are some interesting cards in that set. I think I'm going to try to build the base set. Singles sell for under $5, usually. I can probably put together the whole thing for a couple hundred, which wouldn't be bad for cards ostensibly costing $50 each. And I can probably add to my HOF game-used set cheaply, too.

    When I looked at the tri-jersey card I immediately thought of why the 3 were placed together...stars that are 50 years apart. Wagner in the early 1900's, Mantle in the 1950's & Ichiro in the early 2000's...jay
