    what does this mean....

I reserve the right to end auction early due to other listing sites.. ???

    Loves me some shiny!
  • Just that, but I need to take it out. I also sell a lot of racing parts that I also list other places. I'm going to delete it.. But I can't, I already have bids...

Your response assumes that I understood the text the first time, I still dont.

  • I have my own racing forum that racers use to sell there parts. We list them on the site with the Ebay auction number, hoping for bids. I don't think it's wrong if a racer makes a deal, such as with a trade, with someone and sells the part or trades with another racer. THIS ONLY IS ALLOWED IF THE ITEM HAS NO BIDS!! I don't think it's fair to end the auction if it already has bids.. Understand? I just forgot I was listing a card instead of something else. Do you see any harm in this?

I think he means he will end the auction if someone (from here, or any other board he posted this on) makes him an offer.

I also thought this goes on the BST board.

  • NO.. That's not what it means
  • Hm. I've made updates to an auction even after bids have been placed. You can't necessarily edit what you've already posted, but you can add additional notes that will appear on the auction.

Sorry, I tried to edit my post after I saw yours. That is just what I thought you meant, my mistake.

  • I know you can make updates, I wanted to delete the sentence.. WOW, Tuff Croud!!

Chad, I saw this comment and was wondering if you could elaborate. Did you have a problem with PSA or just grading companies in general? You know I'm actively working on this set (unfortunately I have most of the cards you are selling). If there's anything important we should know, please share it with us.

  • I shouldn't open that can of worms.. I can't prove anything. I do know that the card I sent to be graded, isn't the card I received back. My father, who is one of the most honest people you'll meet, agrees with me. Like I said- can't prove it, shouldn't spread rumors, and I should just forget about it. But I can't. It really tweaks me.. After all the integrity, and the disclosure stuff I went thru on this board-I'm over it. You can't even post something without someone throwing jabs.. This isn't what I want.. LIKE I SAID, I"M NOT ACCUSING OR I CAN"T PROVE IT_SO I"M GOING TO FORGET IT AND MOVE ON!!! I have other hobbys, it's time to explore..

I understand where you are coming from. I had a similar issue a few years ago. It still sticks in my craw. I never posted it, learned to live with it, but have never forgotten. I still collect and submit to PSA, but that one incident opened the door for another grading company that I have been happy with. If you decide to sell some of the 10's individually, LMK.

  • I know others may of had a experience such as this. I shouldn't let it get to me. I just can't beleive it could happen, but I also can't beleive a card WE thought was mint or better graded a PSA 6.. Now I'm not a pro grader, but seems fishy. The card that came back was full of chipping and MAJOR print spots and the focus was horrible. Like I said, can't prove it, can't accuse anyone. It sure makes me give up hope in the whole grading scene.. Live and Learn, just not at my expense..
