Can MD show up this clearly as M Tripling?

This looks at first to me like plain strike doubling but when you look closer, it shows tripling. Is this just double die bouncing?

All I can see is 11 different kinds of bacteria on that bottom picture.
    200X. Wow.

Well I'm no expert but at that high level of magnification I think you can find a lot of coins with this type of strike doubling. Perhaps Coppercoins can answer this one.

I believe the answer is yes. The doubling looks typical of MDD: no split serifs, varies in severity along the short space of the letter.

Definitely yes, and it looks like you've found some....along with the bacteria.

It's all in how many times the die bounces causing the chatter. I've had a 1969 cent that had quadrupling on LIBERTY. I took a decent picture of it, started it at 99 cents on eBay, and reaped $6 for it. These don't have any real collectible value for the doubling, but they make nice conversation pieces and sell if you have a good photo of them.

HEY------ I'm a pharmacist, lay off the bacteria already - I would be jobless, homeless, broke and probably have no coin collection if it weren't for those little buggers...LOL ...Thanks for the responses and thanks C.D. for the explanation.
