What should I do?

I sold a 1976 Walter Payton last week and haven't heard back from the guy yet. He only has a 1 feedback, and I am pretty darn sure he isn't going to pay or contact me. I was just wondering what you guys think. How often should I bug him about it, and how long should I wait before I file a NPB. I am not worried about getting my seller fee's back, but I would like my $150 i made off the card and if he isn't going to pay, then I will just relist it.

  • Have you sent out a "second" notice? If yes, then try to get his data from eBay...which they will supply and give the guy a phone call...after that...a last email stating your intentions to close transactions with negative feedback...and that's about all you can do...in the future...in your transaction state that money needs to be delivered to you in a specific time frame...like 10 days...otherwise you will place negative feedback and relist item...also do not bid unless you intend to pay...things like that...good luck...

I send a payment reminder after 7 days (if they haven't emailed me to say payment is on the way), and after a second email reminder directly from me, I file the NPB after 20 days or so. It all depends on the feeling I get from the buyer. 1 week probably isn't enough, but I know how you feel.

What was it, a PSA 8? I am looking for a nice PSA 9 NQ Payton RC.

  • Thanks Guys. I sent the payment reminder to him and now I guess I will wait. If I don't hear from him I will send him a personal email and see what the deal is. It's those few bad apples that screw things up. I sold 5 other cards at the same time and received payment within 12 hours for each of them.

It was a psa 8 NQ

Edward - you've done all you can for the next day or two. If you don't hear from him by Thursday, I would get his info from eBay and give him a call; people don't always check their e-mail, but, sometimes, even in conversation, you'll get gaspiped. If you still haven't rec'd payment in ten days, absotively posilutely do a NPB on him - there are idiots out there that are banking on people letting them slide and I, for one, cannot stand that!!!! Stop him immediately - 3 strikes yer out!!!!
