2004 Topps Cracker Jack vs Heritage

Will this be as hot as the heritage? I opened a box, i know nothing about which card is an sp or not. Some of the cards are upside down on the back. and arod card has no number on the back.
Just looking to see what you guys think.

I was in the shop today when this stuff came in, but the person working didn't know what to
sell it for, and couldn't get a hold of her boss and of course the world ends when you can't
reach your boss, you would figure that she would know about how much they are..oh well, so
I walked. T205 was hot out of the gate but fizzled, this could be a nice product even though
the autos were a joke. Topps can't get used to selling packs for 3-4 dollars with auto odds
of 1:240. Its nice when you can sell a product just on the strenght of the base cards, but
with the price of cards now a days, you must load them up or they will die a slow and
painful death. Heritage is the exception not the rule.

If this stuff is priced like heritage it will NOT sell, if it is lower then it could be nice. Are even the
originals worth pulling?? Is everyone ready for a 40 product year?

Js you should be able to get it for under 60 at a shop or as low as 45 unless they become hot. ebay the prices are starting to rise from when they were preselling. I listed a couple on the bay if you want to see what they look like. the only thing that makes me wonder about these is about 20 percent of the cards i pulled have the back of them upside down. so i dont know if its an sp or not.

According to the checklist at gcxonline.com (pages 7 and 8), it looks like there are 13 variations, about the same as normal with Topps sets of recent years. It doesn't say if there are any short-prints, but 251 cards is an odd number for a set, so I assume there may be more SPs than just the 13 variations short-printed. The names on the autos and bat/jersey insert lists are not too exciting. Aside from the white parallels, the original Cracker Jacks will be the best cards to pull. On the plus side, the cards look beautiful, and all colors of the mini set should be popular. Judging from the amount of pre-sales on ebay, I don't think this product was heavily ordered, which may indicate a future hot product, or a future forgotten one.

Anyone see who the owner is, card 227?

  • I just opened 5 packs of Cracker Jack, and think it's a pretty neat product. Kind of like Bazooka Basketball, except the quality of the base card set is much higher with the Cracker Jacks. My only notable pull was a Soriano jersey.

Thanks for that link. I can now list my cards correctly. not as many sp's as heritage. this will take a lot of boxes to complete the set bc of the mini cards and the sp's from them also.
