Should I sell one of my George III MS-65 Sixpences?

At FUN I ran across a dealer who had two eyepoping George III 6d, and 1816 and an 1817. The 1816 is lightly toned and the 1817 is white. I could not decide which I liked better so I bought both. My plan was to keep the one that graded highest, but NGC gave both an MS-65. If you were me would you sell one and how much would you ask?image

I'm considering that offer, how many payments of $20 was that again?

If I were George III, I'd have the artist's head brought to me on a platter.

I've always thought that his bust on the coin was less than flattering.

Sell them both IMO. I'll double wytrit's offer of $20, that's $40 each.

Now that they are back in hand I remember why I bought both of them! The 1816 has a light blue/grey toning and superb PL contrast and the 1817 is blast white. Gonna be hard to let either out of my hands!

Only two types and a handfull of dates, but a fun series none the less! I can't see myself parting with either of these two!

  • even if i did upgrade i don't think i could give this one away, but i wouldn't want to stray off of topic by posting a picture of that coin.

So staying with the Geo III theme...
