If you had one wish.........

and could get one complete set in baseball, football, basketball, and hockey, that you could never resell, which one of each sport would it be? Now if you can't resell, market value has no affect on your decision. What would you pick?

  • t-206 baseball

    1976 topps football

    1986-87 fleer basketball

    1979-80 opc hockey
  • Interesting picks. I think my choises would be

T206 Baseball as well for the Simple fact owning a Wagner card would be totally cool.

1955 Topps All American Football because I like how it looks.

1986 Fleer Baseball because it basically is a Hall of fame rookie issue since most the 1980's great have their
    recognized rc's here.

1951 Parkhurst hockey for the same reason as the 1986 Fleer Basketball
  • BB- T3 Turkey Red
    FB- 55 All American
    BK- 57 Topps
    HK- 55 Parkie
  • yeah but the opc has the greatest hockey player ever's rookie card...gretzky..and the fleer has the greatest ever..jordon.
  • Honestly I feel Mario Lemieux has to be the greatest. Did Wayne Gretzky have a 70 goal season and 199 points on a last place team? He only had Mark Messier, Jari Kurri, Paul Coffey, Glen Anderson, etc. Even Gretz himself has admitted had Lemieux not had all those injuries, the back problem, the cancer, he would have broken all of Gretzky's records. I think if Lemieux was in Gretzky's place in the Oilers, he would have had 4000 points easily. Lemieux has the size the talent and the eye to do anything on the ice. I think one of Mario's smartest ever plays was in the olympics. He knew Kariya was to his left, he didn't have to look. He let the pass go by him without touching it and Kariya scored the goal because no one expected Mario to let it go. I also have to admit I don't like Wayne Gretzky very much as a person. I've seen him on three occasions in the past 15 years and he has been very nasty and arrogant every time. I have never met Mario Lemiux, but he seems like a nicer guy. As for the best goal score, I think Mike Bossy is #1. I also met him in Philly in 1999 and he was really cool. Probably my best sports moment ever. What added to that day was that I also got to see Johnny Unitas there. I still regret not getting an autograph especially now since he's dead.

Baseball - Too Tuff..toss-up between T3 and N172 (probably T3 since there is really no such thing as an N172 complete set)
    Football - 1935 National Chicle
    Basketball - 1986 Fleer
    Hockey - 1951 Parkhurst
