SP AUTHENTIC BASKETBALL is it CRAP?

not really thrilles with the product.

sp signature tins is much better.

i would rather have 2 tins versus a box of sp baketball.
better chance for a high $ card, plus you will save a couple bucks.

thoughts?

    I've cracked two boxes..... all junk. Really....i got hosed.

    Unlike the Hockey SP AUTH product which has yielded me a ton more rookies, signed cards and signed rookie cards.

    Just my opinion though.

    SP Authentic has been a huge hit with my customers. They've pulled a LeBron Patch #/50, a Carmelo Patch #/50, and a Larry Bird AUTO amongst many semistar AUTO's as well as Jarvis Hayes and Josh Howard AUTO RC's. Not every box will produce, but it is certainly worth the gamble in my eyes, far better than the SP Signature (which out of my case the best was a Jason Kidd #/50 AUTO).

    I think the word is out about it now. You can pull a Lebron, Carmelo, MJ type auto (tough of course), but if you don't, and you probably won't...you have a box of JUNK!

    I still bought two boxes (1 still unopened), the first box yielded a rookie auto so exciting that I cannot remember who it was...but this is getting old with UD products. I don't expect a Lebron auto in every box, but if you don't get that one smash card, you basically have nothing to show for your $110+ dollars. At least Topps products (like Chrome / Bowman Chrome) seem to give you a bit more to ease the pain in your Lebron-less box. Just my opinion.

    and another 1-2 others i can't remember

    in 2 boxes i didn't get 1 #d rc (they're #d to 999 i think)

    like sp signature, spx, sp game used, and UD anything, the products truly are hit/miss. you'd have a better chance of saving the $120+ your card shop will hose you for on the box and buying a single card of your choice.

    worth the $? "much better" than sp authentic (or ANY UD product)? not in my view

    Well, I opened the second box tonight - I got something nice finally!

    SP Dual Signatures - John Stockton / David Robinson (1:288)

    And a rookie auto of the next big thing - Slavko Vranes! (who?)

    Maybe SP Authentic is OK afterall...
