1971P FB dime

I just got back a batch of coins from PCGS that included a 71 Roosevelt dime in 65FB. The pop shows 3 FB 71Ps in all grades, and mine makes 4. Any estimate of value would be helpful as I usually stick to pennies and nickels. Thanks.

I can't help on the value, but CONGRATS on the FB!image

No idea of value but the '71 is one of the more poorly struck clad dimes. It should
rise to be near the top of the heep for higher grades and better strikes.

    Congratulations.

It probably doesn't command as large a premium in only MS-65
    Tempus fugit.

About $75 for a 65FB. Its equivalent to an MS67 without FB in the registry and there are
    11 graded MS67. Now a 71P 66FB would be a $300+ coin and I'd pay $800 for one in
    67FB. Sight seen of course.

Centmaster, nice score on th 71FB as that is one of the more difficult dates. I would agree with Onlyroosies on his opinion, but I think that $75.00 would be alittle on the low side for that date. JMHO of course.

    Congrats!

  • Thanks, guys. I'll keep monitoring the pop and see if it goes much higher in the next year. If it doesn't, then maybe I have a winner.

An incredibly undervalued coin in my humble opinion. Couldn't believe how cheap I got mine.
  • I have serious doubts that the pop will rise significantly on that date. I think you could get $100 for it now, probably more in the future. (And note that I think most FB clad roosies will come down in price, but not that one!
