When did Charlie Sheen start collecting cards?

1914 Cracker Jack PSA card

Take a look at the label on the slab: The "Charlie Sheen Collection"?

Is this the "Platoon" Charlie Sheen, or somebody else? Who'd a thunk?

There was a 1949 Bowman Robinson card with a PSA label, stating it was from the Jackie Robinson estate, in a Leland auction a few months ago. I thought that was pretty cool. I know there was a large group of T206 saying the cards were from the Kirk Harris collection. I guess that shows the pedigree of the T206 cards and some people may like that as these were supposedly some of the nicest T206s around.

Who would want a card with Charlie Sheen's name on the grading label? No one I can think of except maybe Sheen himself.

He sold the Mookie ball for like a $30-40k loss several years ago. Seth Swirsky is now the new owner of the ball.

<< <i>And the ball that Mookie Wilson hit through Bill Buckner's legs in Game 6 of the 1986 World Series, a part of actor Charlie Sheen's collection, fetched $63,945. >>

<< <i>The Charlie Sheen Collection Auction Highlights
    Babe Ruth’s white mink coat
Babe Ruth’s last will and testament
19789 Heisman Trophy presented to Charles White
    1961 Roger Maris game-worn uniform
    Lou Gehrig single signed baseball
Jackie Robinson "Farewell to Baseball" handwritten letter
1927 New York Yankees team signed photo
    Red Grange game-worn helmet
1870 Lord Stanley handwritten letter >>

As Basilone said, Charlie took it in the shorts on the "Mookie ball". I believe he owned Chamberlain's record 100 pt. ball but it was pulled by Lelands when questions came up about the fact that it was not the real deal. I do know that the ball eventually did sell for 67K but I don't think it was in Sheen's hands at the point of sale. I have the auction info somewhere but can't find it - this is Beckett info.

edit: took out something that I think was an error by Beckett

I'm sure he makes that with doing just one scene in any movie.

I wonder whether his brother Emilio has made large purchases after they stopped coming out with Mighty Duck sequels.
