Mastronet goof up

The very last week of his playing career, Babe Ruth had a game that hearkened back to his prime. It was May 25, 1935. The Yankees vs. the Pittsburgh Pirates at Forbes Field. Babe belted two-run homers in the first and third innings, rapped out a single in the fifth, and added a solo round-tripper in the seventh. Reportedly, the last shot not only sailed over the outfield wall, but cleared the entire right-field grandstand! This monstrous clout, the longest ever hit at Forbes, was Babe Ruth's 714th and final home run. Tickets from the historic game are very scarce, yet here we offer not one, but two

HELLO, HE was with the Boston Braves, and since when did the Yankees play The Pirates in MAY! Interleague play!!!!???????? image

  • It did seem like Babe Ruth could do anything. I guess that includes Playing for the Yankees after while being a member of the Braves.

    Good for you.
  • I can see someone buying it thinking it is a Yankee piece and getting a bit angry over it being a Braves piece. I'm sure not everyone knows his last season was with the brave, apparently an employee at Mastronet doesn't know either. I can see someone wanting a refund over this siting misrepresentation, and Mastronet would have to give a refund or face a lawsuit. Think about it. They say he was a yankee there, and you buy it for that reason. You show it to your friends and they laugh at you for not knowing he was with the braves. You feel cheated. Now I wouldn't cry over something like that, but many sports collectors would.
