I got a Kennedy question that I have to ask.

Years ago I started buying Kennedys...this was in my beginning years when I did not know squat...Now it has come to my attention that I am an owner of one of those 1970 D proof like Kennedy's does anyone know their value....I just discovered it the other day....

Prooflikes are relatively common on this date. One that would be fully prooflike ( like a DMPL dollar) would certainly bring a premium.

    Reality is that it all depends on the grade. Non-PL 64 maybe $20, 65 $35-50 66 $100-150

I think you could easily double those numbers for a nice PL.

    Other opinions????

  • When I was looking in my Kennedy album I noticed the fields were real shinny...then I looked at another one and it was not shinney...so I thought I had a rare on here.

The '70-D Kennedy is relatively common in PL with around 3% of mintage being PL
and about half of these being attractive. There are lots of other dates which appear
PL but are very scarce or rare. Most of the clad issues aren't very attractive in PL
since it high lights the scratches so much but they'd still make a fascinating collection.
