Open it... what use is it to you being all cooped up inside that envelope? The coins need to see the light of day, and you need to see them to appreciate them image Unless they're butt ugly... then they need to stay in the envelope...

Ken, I would normally be with everyone else and tell you to open it. BUT! since it's you, and there is a MS68 small date Lincoln in it, Leave it sealed!!! That way you won't suck!!!
It is not exactly cheating, I prefer to consider it creative problem solving!!!

  • Please consider that those coins have'nt been gazed upon in 34 yrs. With that said, you have purchased the right to gaze upon them.Open'em up and let's see what'cha got!image

The 1970 mint set has the highest premium for all the later sets for being unopened. There
are some great coins that appear in these and many people are willing to pay the premium.
In addition to the obvious small date cent there are numerous gems like the '70-S nickel, the
'70-D half (including PL), and several varieties. The quarters, cents, and D nickel also come as
very high grade in these sets. Premium coins are so common in these sets that the odds of
    having one here are excellent.

It's been nearly five years since I've seen one of these in hand unopened. There aren't many left.

    I'd have to look.

My guess is that you bought them in the $120 range, and they're sellable in the $20 range each opened, so the cost of an unsucessful search is $20.image Since they're currently replaceable (that won't always be true), I'd be looking at some pristine sets if I were you. image

I agree with RAINBOWROOSIE, don't open that package. Sell it to me !

If I had that package, I'd have been opened by now.

Curiosity would have gotten the best of me .
