mastro catalog

Just received my first Mastro catalog, and I want to give everyone here my opinion.

Best $75 I ever spent. I used to say - no way I am spending $75 just to look at their stuff - now that I have this catalog, I kick myself for not doing it years earlier. It is a collectible in itself and the material being auctioned is sick - sick I tell you!

Do yourself a favor, call Mastro on Monday and spend the $75, you'll thank yourself later.

Remember that the $75. is only a 1 time fee- if you make a bid on every (or almost every) auction, you'll keep on their mailing list without ever coughing up any more $$$. The bids don't have to be winners, so since the minimums are such a low % of the final hammer if you open 1 lot you're good to go.
The blood bath start Monday. Best of luck everyone!

If you go to mastronet.com and click on current auction you will be able to see a scan of any lot.

Incredible auction, I cannot wait to get my catalogue.
  • aro, i cant seem to navigate the site whatsoever. where can i find the entire auction listing (something similar to superior's online auction layout)?

    SCAM!!! I was serious!!!
Then again w/ the insurance money, how can I possibly narrow down the 2 or 300 lots that I "have to have" to just a handful.
Thats too much stress, I'll let her live for now image ...jay

One thing that I found curious was in their descriptions of a few 1952 Topps packs that they are auctioning off individually. They noted that any card was possible, yet 99.9% of all 1952 Topps packs ever offered publicly have been low series packs.

The hockey packs are making my mouth water. It's nice to see that there are individual lots as well so you don't have to drop $75 or 100 k on a 54/55 Topps pack collection.

I think the online catalog won't be up and running until the bidding starts on Monday.
