K-602 “CHRISTOFF PRAUN 1683-1943”, Commemorative portrait medal, 1943, Cast Bronze, 65mm., UNC, Rare.
To commemorate the 260th year of his death on June 1st, 1683. Reverse, Legend DEVS MEVM REFVGIVM (God is my shelter). The coat of arms depicted are the Gewanderschneider and Roggenbach.
I am currently waiting to see if I won the "one and only" cast silver speciman made from this mold. Goetz created only one silver piece exclusively for the Praun family who, I assume, had commissioned him to create this piece in the first place. It is an expensive piece, but what would you expect from something that only has a POP of 1 that will never increase?

Are you collecting anything non-medal relating to Goetz? What town was he from and where did he do most of his work?
