I scored another one at work bringing my siver half collection to 16. youd think that since silver is rising people would learn not to spend them.

question what is the following answers

wartime nickels = oz. of silver
dimes= silver oz
quarter =silver oz
halves = silver oz
and dollar coins = silver oz

i cant seem to locate an answer
also how does one calculate the oz. of silver they have and the price per coing

1968 half is 40% silver so its not 40% of an oz. im sure its less than that if so lets say its .07 of an oz. is the value .07 of $8.14 or is it 0.4 x 8.14 ?

Easiest way would be to pick up a Redbook; they have tables that would allow you to calculate it. Also, many members here probably already have the equation figured.

1968 half is 40% silver clad not 40% sliver.it takes around 40 war time silver nickles to equal an ounce.correct me if im wrong.

It would be .1479 oz troy silver.
