  • the 1962 and 1963 Parkhurst sets are the best looking, followed by the 1954 topps. I would throw in the c55 at 4th because I like that they are poses instead of make believe action drawings.

Aside from T-3's and T-205's, I think the '63 Topps hockey set is the most beautiful set ever minted.
  • I personallly like the follwoing sets for eye appeal:

    1950's

    1954 Topps
    1955 parkhurst
    1958 Topps
    1959 Topps

    1960's

    1964 Topps Tall Boys
    1965 Topps
    1969 O-pee chee

    1970's

    1971 O-pee chee
    1975 Topps

I do not really like much sets from the 1980's but I think my most favourite set of them all is the 1965 Topps hockey set.

    Collecting PSA Vintage Hockey
  • I like the 1990 OPC Premier for a more recent set. I haven't really bought anything newer.

Of course in the vintage years, I like the cards that have striking colours, and portraits which means

1963 Parkies, 1964 Topps, 1969 OPC at the foremost. Of course you guys all date yourself when you get into the 1950's and older sets as favourites.

    Marc,
I don't want to clog up another thread with image posting instructions, turn Your PM function on if you still want me to help you. Or.. try searching past threads.

edited to say: based on additional requests I started a new "how to" thread.

    That's funny murcerfan.
Right away you reminded me of the movie animal house.
What do you think little Horton is whispering in Bobby's ear ?
    Remember, Bobby was a gentleman.
