***edited for clarity***

Take a look at this dime. The pics might be too washed out but please do your best.

It was my understanding that an off-center coin is off center on both sides BUT on the same location. But, as you may see on this dime, it is off-center but on opposite locations. You can see weakness in strike, on both sides, but it does not seem to be in the correct location.

Am I not understanding something?

Looks to me like a minor mis-aligned die. The obverse and reverse die are not perfectly aligned. I don't think this carries much premium, if any, for this minor amount.

It's very slightly off-center. If you consider that dimes should have coin alignment, the top of the obverse matches the bottom of the reverse. From all appearances your coin appears to be off center in the same direction on both sides. I doubt there would be much if any premium value for something like that, although it is a neat find.

Not worth anything really, I see coins like that in circulation all the time.

I didn't anticipate any real value, and I dont normally pay that much attention to ciculating stuff, but this one caught my eye. I will probably keep it as a conversation piece.

And the misaligned die idea make sense, I did not think of that before. Thanks everyone!

I often see coins, dimes especially, in circulation with this minor amount of error. Keep in mind that the Mint DOES allow for such minor errors. I agree with what was previously said, nice circulation find.
