  • I don't know a darn thing about 'em, but this one is pretty.
  • Very slick toning... I'd say it's a 63.

Perhaps the price is just too steep.

  • At or NT?

Sorry - my gut tells me AT - I can't put my finger on it - but if I were to say - I'd lean on AT

Looks like some rub on her breasts. image

And on the leading edge of the eagle's left wing (one of the high points of the reverse devices)>

    AU 55 perhaps.

I've decided not to decide between AT and NT without having the coin in hand.

    We ARE watching you.

  • This one looks alot like a handful in a complete AU-UNC Walker alblum I got the chance to flip through at a regoinal dealer's shop. Did this come from a Dansco?

  • Then, based on what I saw and what I see, this could very well be natural "Dansco" toning.

    I really do like it.
I'd have to say it would be body bagged for questionable color, tho.

A shame. It's got MS65 all over it, otherwise.

Looks like I see some rub also --- 55-58, and the way the toning crosses right over the letters without any color variation ( like on the motto on reverse) always makes me wonder( not always but it always makes me look twice)
Some coins are just plain "Interesting"

Really neat toning. I hope it's real.

Looks a little baked, particularly in light of the host coin being common. If you didn't pay a king's ransom to get it, not a big deal. May well be worth it, just to keep for comparitive education.

Looks nice to me. I am not an AT maven but it doesn't looked cooked to my eye. It is hard to judge a coin from the pic on the slant with the upper head and torso out of focus but I do not see any rub on the reverse to confirm concern about the question raised about rub on the breast. Furthermore the liberty leg seems unrubbed. If the above is true then the obverse strike may be a little weak. I suppose it is slated in attempt to show luster and because it is a little dark. I don't see any significant marks but hairlines are easily masked in this type image. So I would guess this is MS and maybe 64. What does it look like in hand?
