National Trading Card Day "Coming To A Hobby Store Near You
The industry has designated Saturday, April 3, as National Trading Card Day and will celebrate the day with a one-of-kind, multi-sport card set produced through a unique cooperative effort by each of the country's leading sports card manufacturers and licensing bodies. The set will feature more than 50 cards of some of the hottest names in the hobby and will be available free to consumers who visit participating sports card stores across the country.

it was featured on COLD PIZZA on ESPN2 this morning.

All the card manufacturers worked together to issue cards for this promotion. A card store would contact the distributor to get a batch of these packs to hand out to their customers on April 3, then the customers would trade their cards for other cards that others rec'd.
A little corny sure, but its good to see some positive steps in this industry, I wish they would have had these type of promos when I had my store. As long as it gets people inside the store, then its worthwhile. ..jay
