OT: ATTN: ebay sellers. I need some advice

A lady just sent her payment for an auction. The problem is it's her first ever transaction. I clearly stated in the auction that shipping would be $7 and even sent her a statement asking for a total of $23, but she just sent the $16. Should I just eat the cost of the shipping and advice her to pay closer attention next time or hold the item until she sends the other $7? Thanks

I would hold out for the $7. The delay will give her time to practice up on her reading!!

Advise her to pay up. Offer her Counsel on PayPal . Be kind but firm. If it's her first transaction, she may just be naive or oversightful. Send an email and explain the situation. Odds are that she will pay.

I'd get in touch with her and explain AGAIN that the shipping is $7.00 as stated in the auction. Then I would wait to see her answer.

What was the payment form? If PayPal, use the "request money" feature and bill her for it. If it was paid by mail, send her an eMail and tell her it will ship as soon as it's paid in full.

That said, I have to ask. What $16 item costs $7 to ship?

Thanks for the advice folks. I just sent her the regular auction statement ebay provides. She sent a money order. The item that costs $7 to ship is a McFarlane Sportspicks figure still in the package. They go about $6.85 for shipping each one.
