SMR prices question

who do you email to make your case that smr prices for a particular set are completely off??? is it even worth the effort? i've only follow a couple of sets....are all the prices for vintage cards completely and entirely out of wack?? it just seems odd when superior sports completes an auction and everything i was eyeing sold in excess of 150% of smr....didn't superior own smr??

I collect 1971 Topps BB and most of the prices in Superior's auction were well above Ebay levels, even without factoring in the buyer's premium. A good pricing guide needs to factor in prices received from multiple markets. Case in point - the 71 PSA 9 Yaz went for $529 (includes buyer's premium) and I was just able to purchase one off ebay last night for $408, which includes shipping.

Not that I'm defending SMR, but only comparing their values to Superior's auction is not conclusive.
