Now what could anyone possibly want to do with an item like this?
1815 half dollar mold
Truly a unique business opportunity for the collector/dealer who has some junk silver, a good furnace, and no conscience!
(Actually, it is a neat item for anyone who collects counterfeits and related paraphernalia, if it is legal to own)

I agree that the Secret Service will probably take it away if it comes to their attention. I wouldn't touch it. I didn't mean to encourage anyone to bid!
Me too! If we get in trouble, he's liable, right?

<< <i>Oh, great, I've only been on this forum for a week, and now I'm headed to jail for aiding and abetting collectors conspiring to make die cast lead 1815 half dollars. >>
You'd better pray I get outbid, or you're going down with me, Mugsy.

I'm pretty sure nobody would bother to make one for a 1973 Chain Cent. Maybe, though.

I wouldn't worry a bit of the Secret Service taking this. They don't chase after the multitude of fake coins that are on Ebay.

Why, I had a premonition that he will be coming into some premium early capped halves very soon. Ya might want to keep an eye on his website, ya wouldn't want to miss out.

I'll try to update my site next week, but can't guarantee I'll have sufficient inventory to meet demand, so order early.

Bidding seems really high ($270 with 1 day left) for something like this. I guess it is the coolness factor. Or, the thought that this investment would pay for itself after just a couple of uses and a few minutes on ebay.
