To Grade or Not to Grade?

How do you decide weather to grade a coin or not?
I have several nice ones, from Morgans to Kennedy's to Saint Gaudens, but I have no idea if I should spend the money or not.

I generally don't send in coins that are worth less than $100 raw.

But that's just my opinion.

Many modern collectors submit large quantites of coins because for them the fun of collecting is in the hunt for high-grade specimens.

Placid

Different reasons.
Selling in a sight unseen method.
Protection.
Can't grade well enough themself.
High grade coins with large price jumps from one grade to the other.
