#3 Current Finest
I started out building a Green Bay Packers team set and then some guy named Kevin Stonegate (Thanks Kevin!)
contacted me with about 65 of the 160 cards. I really had not considered building the complete set until that point.
After he made an offer I could not refuse I was off and running. This was around August 2001.
160 cards, easy I thought, well some of the cards are very tuff and just dont come up that much.
There are about 10-12 cards that make up the toughest group to acquire. Many of these are in the reg sets or private and
they do not circulate.
There have only been 5 sets to reach 100% (2 retired - 3 active) I know of 1 other graded set not on the Reg but I think it is around %90. Contrast this against the 14 complete 1955 AA sets! (hmmm....next?)
Anyway, like so many others, I have interacted with many collectors on this board and greatly appreciate all the help.
A special thanks to Kevin Stonegate.
I probably have MORE fun with the back and forth between a handful of 55B collector's than anything else.

As you know, I sold off my graded collection last fall. But, coincidentally, I came across a complete raw set in a binder a month or so ago while rooting around in my collection. About 20 cards had been trimmed (wish I could remember which dealer I bought them from...), but the rest are at PSA at the moment (received on March 14th according to the post office, but not yet logged in...) and they will probably be 6s-8s when they come back. I'll check against your set on the Registry and let you know if there are any that you can use to upgrade. Also, send me an email (kdoutcalt@aol.com) with your address and I'll ship you off a nice, shiny '55B wrapper to complete your collection!
Cheers,
Kevin
Sweet. Many of you have emailed me and said that KS also helped you out in your sets (not just 55 .
All of your sentiments match mine, top shelf collector and person.
Thanks again for all of the good wishes.
Loves me some shiny!
Good luck on one of your next adventures. Check your email today and mailbox this week. Should see what you you've been waiting for. Any problems you know where to find me.

2005 Origins Old Judge Brown #/20 and Black 1/1s, 2000 Ultimate Victory Gold #/25
2004 UD Legends Bake McBride autos & parallels, and 1974 Topps #601 PSA 9
Rare Grady Sizemore parallels, printing plates, autographs
Nothing on ebay
Congratulations Randall!
I have just begun collecting this set. Maybe you've seen my ID on E-Bay. I was strictly a baseball guy, who builds sets with as many players of interest (to me) in it. But I decided to jump into a football set on looks alone. I've never heard of many of the players, but it's a darn fine lookin' set. It's not on the registry, since I have not made a total commitment to the set, but maybe soon.
Good luck on a new venture.
Currently collecting.....your guess is as good as mine.
I really love the look of the 55B set and you've got a beautiful set. Again, congratulations!
1963 Fleer
Lou Brock Master Set
Always looking for 1957 Topps BB in PSA 9!

VERY tuff set to complete. Most think this set is under the radar, but put one of those 55 Bowman HOF RC's up on ebay and watch it go 3X-4X SMR.
Gatski, St. Clair, Ringo....Very hard to come by, and very popular amongst the football collectors.
Best of Luck,
Jason
