Found an error on my 1999 unc Kennedy from the mint set.

Neat. Never noticed it. Was going through my mint sets looking for the wide "AM" cents (didnt find any) when this caught the corner of my eye.

Any idea on what kind of error this is and the rarity of it?

    I'm going to say it was done by the sealing machine that sealed the plastic for the mint set...
    Look at the serations and see if they match the ones in the plastic.
    most likely the coin was out of place when the thing compressed to seal.

    AH! Yes, I see that now. The coin is rotated about 110° from the messed up cellophane holder (which is why I didn't see it)... Guess that brings the value down a bit... heh


    Would've been nice if that was a minting error and not a packing error... image
