It is not exactly cheating, I prefer to consider it creative problem solving!!!

  • Tough call. At a coin dealer in SLC I found a sealed cello proof set with a Jeff that looks so close to those colors they could be twins. Except in the cello set the purples and blues are more vibrant. Could be just the images though. I haven't bought it yet, but I'm trying to convince myself to do so.

But bright proof set Jeffs are toned on both sides.

Looks like a Marty hoard nickel, only 20 years too soon and the wrong minting process.

    It's phoney as hell.

Jeffs can tone in a lot of different ways, but that ain't one of 'em.

  • Here's an email from the ebay member himself...

<< <i>The coins in my auctions are from a very large collection of toned coins I purchased last year. The collection is several thousand coins in size. They are all toned but there is no mention on the part of the seller with respect to how the coins acquired their toning. My suspicion is that that are artifically toned and so I start them all at $0.99 and have a 5 day no questions asked full auction price refund if the buyer is unhappy with their coin or coins. >>

Hope that helps in answering your question about the AT toned Jeff. =]
