Anyone care to take a stab at how PCGS will grade this 1967 Half Dollar?

I have given two views of the obverse and one of the reverse. There are no hairlines at all, not even under 5x. There are two very tiny ticks in the hair and two or three very tiny marks on the cheek which you really don't see unless using a 5x.

BTW - The camera I am using is new to me so I am having a hard time capturing the contrast, but the coin does have good black/white contrast.

It is not exactly cheating, I prefer to consider it creative problem solving!!!

They'll probably grade it by looking at it for a few seconds, and hitting a key or two on the computer

Looks like it has a good shot at 67 CAM. Will get the SMS label, of course.

I like the last two opinions better than the first, but thank to everyone who guessed!image

I was sort of thinking 67 CAM, but I don't have a lot of experience with this modern stuff.

I'll let you know what it grades when it comes back.

If I could just get the lighting thing down, my photos (in general) would look a lot better!image

    Aethelred,

I see nothing wrong with your images. Maybe just a little fine tuning, but they're already pretty damned good.

Thank you Russ, but I am one of these people who is really never happy with photographs if I am the one who has taken it. I have been known to take 15-20 photos of one side of a coin, using different lighting and still not be happy.

I bought a monster toned Franklin Half today, let's see how many pictures I have to take to get one that captures the coin as it really looks and is pleasant to look at (gotta do both).image
