Oooh that was weird, I clicked on the link and saw an auction for an Olympic coin...I went back here to post, then tried to pull up the link again to check my numbers and the link has expired.

Strange.

Anyway, I may be off on the details, but as I recall he registered on the 29th of Feb, has bid on 68 auctions, this is the only one by this seller. He has won a few from other sellers, but recently enough not to be alarmed by a lack of feedback yet. Some of the items bid on are very consistent with this auction, some are completely unrelated to coins. Anyway, this does not look typically shill-like to me, and the seller is someone I have seen around (bidding on things I want, what nerve!!), I would have no reason to expect him to use a shill.

Just my opinion of course-- wouldn't want to get sued or anything

(oh wait, I'm not slamming anyone...)

The link worked the second time. My thoughts as above - the behavior didn't look overly shill-like to me.

But its always good to be paranoid on eBay.

Even if it is, the price is still only 2.77. Place your last bid 30 seconds prior to close. That way if it is a shill bidder, they won't be able to drive it up further.
