    Brazil 1809 40 reis counterstamp over a 1784 20 reis. You got a good deal for $2. image

    Edited to add: These usually go for $10-15 in that condition.

    I don't have an 18th century Krause, so I don't know what it's worth, but it's a 1729 20 reis, Bahia mint. I do know however that early Brazilian coppers in good shape are pretty scarce.
