I thought this was kind of interesting from Beckett. I know some people like to use SMR to get estimated value and others like to use eBay. Beckett pricing has largely been considered way out of touch but it looks like this should help put them more inline.
<< <i>Beckett, the most trusted name in the sports collectibles hobby has announced the launch of the Beckett.com Sports Card Value Guide - a landmark resource for sports card buyers and sellers. The Value Guide uses pricing data from eBay, the World's Online Marketplace®, marking the first time that raw historical data about sports card transactions on eBay have been used to create such a tool.
Beckett's industry-standard card identification and pricing analysis provides buyers and sellers with an easy-to-use reference. In addition, users can employ software to automatically list their cards on eBay directly from the Beckett.com Value Guide.
"Experienced collectors come to Beckett.com to enhance and augment their sports card collections," says Beckett.com President Mark Harwell. "Now, with access to transaction data from eBay and Beckett's industry-standard pricing analysis, users can quickly determine fair market value for cards, and more easily list cards for sale on the eBay marketplace."
Customers can access the Beckett.com Value Guide at http://valueguide.beckett.com. It is being promoted on Beckett.com and eBay.com. With a free daily trial, buyers and sellers can experience the benefits of the Beckett.com Value Guide with a featured player and card set of the day. For a minimal fee, customers can find current and historical sports card pricing, accurate card descriptions and cumulative auction results for every card actively traded on eBay.
"At any given time, there are more than 400,000 sports cards listed on eBay," says Bob Holden, sports memorabilia category manager for eBay. "What a card sells for on eBay is a good indication of its true value. The Beckett.com value guide will help sports card buyers and sellers to quickly and easily determine the fair market value of cards by set, manufacturer or grading basis. We are happy to be able to deliver this content to the Beckett.com user community." >>

The only thing is that the history is limited right now. In regards to Vintage stuff...really only the star cards have any data....and only a cetain number of a player's card.
Great Concept though...and easy to use.
