Whizzed, dipped, and tooled. Those are all the things that should be done to you if you keep putting up nice "moderns". It's a real looker. Strike typical of a proof (superb), minimal marks, great color, and a nice original look.

Russ, it is a Pinnacle image.... but I did not buy it from them. I bought it off the guy that bought it from them.

WOW DHeath.... I don't believe I've ever got a "You Suck." You are correct the strike is strong ( and much stronger than the image) and has a nice even original patina covering both sides. Thanks.

Very lovely coin stman. That eagle really stands out in relief. However, I'm 50 and that coin is about 15 years older than me. That's an ancient coin IMO.

Thanks for the compliments on the coin folks. I usually don't have interest in these.... but a board member bought this a while back from Pinnacle. I re-call me saying in a thread I'd like to own it someday. Well it came up for sale and I like the "LOOK" of it so I bought it.

If anyone is interested, it is in a NGC (oh my

) holder graded Proof 67. The image was taken by Pinnacle Rarities and not myself. I believe most of you knew that anyway.
