Carbon specks on Buffalo Nickels

Has anyone had any luck removing carbon specks from Buffs? I have a coin with a few carbon specks right at the top of the Buffalos back. Looks like one could remove it with a small pin or niddle. Not sure if it would only open into a bigger hole or flake right off. There's also a spot in the fields where I think would leave a small hole. . I guess I could crack it out and give it a try. I can see I'll need a microscope for this job, any input would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

those pesky horse flies can get pretty big for your reverse problem

What the tiny little spots on early uncirculated Buffaloes tell me....a coin that is original and has un-played with surfaces.

My suggestion: don't touch it.
