Finaly got my grades, now how do they ship?

Do they come in a padded envelope, a box or a plain old letter. I say this because I have heard about too many people "losing things" in the mail. My MS69 silver coin I got for joining, came in a regular envelope with cardboard around the slab.

I sent my stuff in a small box and felt much safer with them over a padded envelope that can be slit.

It depends on how many coins are on the submission. Generally, if it's six or more, it's shipped in a PCGS storage box - which I now have stacked to the rafters. Less than that, a stiff cardboard mailer - not a padded envelope.

BTW, they are shipped Registered, regardless of how many coins. They're safe.

Thanks Russ- I have one of those blue boxed from PCGS, but this was just my first four freebies. So I guess it won't get a box?

You won't get a box this time. I had 8 coins in at one time and they all came in a cardboard sandwich in a padded envelope, no box.

Because I live so close to PCGS, I have mine delivered by an organ grinder monkey courier carrying the slabs in a pouch in the front of his blue overalls.

Whether you get a box or not is hit or miss. I have received 5 coins in a box, and 5 in a cardboard mailer.

Hmmmmmm, maybe Russ can work out a deal so that they are delivered safe and sound in a slab caddy.

Russ seems to be in control. They day I posted wondering when my coins would be ready, he said my results are in.
At first I thought "very funny" ...my results were in a few hours later.
