- Diane Hagar admits that ACG grades by a different set of standards than that used by 99.9% of the hobby. However, this fact is not disclosed to consumers.
- ACG slabs coins that have been cleaned, doctored, damaged and even fakes!
- Alan Hager grades and sells his own coins!
- ACG will sue you if you tell the truth about them in a public fashon.
- Alan Hager was found by a Conn. Court to be guilty of fraud in a numismatic deal.

I have a copy of the book pictured below. (without the wooden stake, and I actually read it) The book presents a set of grading standards, but that doesn't appear to be the standard being followed by ACG in the recent past.

I'm sure the ANA did not lose any sleep when the Hagers did not renew their ANA membership.
Botttom line, when they demanded a hearing in Baltimore, they exposed their grading scam better than anyone else could have: right from the horse's (Diane's) mouth.

Just some parts I found interesting...
<< <i>The Board also recognizes, based upon the information provided at the hearing as well as the opinions expressed by many of the witnesses called, that a significantly larger percentage of grading errors appear to be made by ASA Accugrade than by other grading services. >>
<< <i>..it is the responsibility of ASA Accugrade to clearly define and delineate its grading standards for the end consumer of the coins it encapsulates. The language quoted from the back of ASA Accugrade photograde encapsulated coins does not properly advise or represent to the end consumer of these coins that the coins do not meet industry accepted grading standards but are graded under a different standard. >>
Even if I did not know who Accugrade was, just reading this would keep me away.
tis better to remain silent and thought a ??? than to speak and remove all doubt.
Here's a warning parable for coin collectors...

I just like to think that people like that will get what they deserve after life on this planet is up! I don't do business with them, and don't worry about them.
I do applaud users on this board who help other members learn about companies like this and others.

Funny how the people who sent it in had no problem detecting it!
