A Problem with an ebayer seller

fivecentsfivecents Posts: 11,207 ✭✭✭✭✭
I have a ebay seller who will not honor his return policy. He had his return policy plainly stated on the auction page of the item I purchased, now he will not honor it.image I am about to go thru the usual ebay BS to try to get this resolved. I was just wondering if anybody else has had this happen to them. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

I'm not 100% sure, but I think eBay's Square Trade is where you can get this settled. I'm sure someone will correct me if I'm wrong but
in the meantime you can check out the policies there.

Let me guess, the eBay seller's ID begins with a "D"?

Yes, I am about to deal with ebay's square trade and "live help". I was just wondering if I even have a chance to return this coin for a refund. I hear alot of horror stories on these boards about ebay buyers getting screwed over with nothing ever being resolved.
    No the seller's name didn't start with a "D'

Definitely you should go through Square Trade, and somebody who doesn't honor his return policy deserves a big fat neg on feedback.

LM...you are right about the negative, but I am also going to be out around $150. I don't have much faith in ebay helping me resolve this.

Did you use Paypal? If so, dIspute the charge through them, too.

Let's hear the rest of the story. Like why is the coin being returned? And what does his return policy actually say? Why has he refused to take a return? I think most sellers would try to avoid a neg so I assume he has a reason of some sort- not to say his reason is right. I have had buyers want to return a coin because they say they need the money for something else- to me this would not be an acceptable reason to return a coin afterall I fulfilled my obligation and their is no reason I should lose money because someone can't manage their money. Don't take this wrong I am not picking on you but rather just trying to say we need more info. mike image

Yes, give us some details. Might be easier to offer intelligent opinions on the situation.
