Kinda hard to tell from scans as always, and I am by NO means a bonafide grader.....

The hairlines look nice. There are some dings on the cheek and under the eye, some scratches, and the breast feathers are worn, I like it.

I'd guess high AU if not even MS60.

Hard to say my furry rodent friend. Looks to be in the AU range, possibly cleaned would be my fear on this one.

You talkin about the hillbilly are his Morgan? Cause Morgan looks less marked than he does!

VRtech99: This 1883-S Morgan is definately circulated, and probably AU detail with a net grade of XF-45 because of harsh cleaning -- although it's very tough to tell from this image. Top grade would be AU-50 on the upside in my opinion...

I wondered if it looked cleaned too...but I think that scans are deceiving and there's usually no way to tell unless it's obvious. To me, it's not obvious these are cleaned and the scan is just not doing the coin justice. the seller apparently has no negatives, so no reason to believe he'd try to decieve a buyer like some other ruthless eBay sellers.

I still think it's in the upper AU if not MS60 range.
