Ta da!
I finally found the last card for my Pete Rose basic set! I'm now #5 on the current list. The centerpiece of the collection is my 1977 GEM MINT 10. If anyone finds a 1982 Fleer in PSA 9, let me know as that is the only card I'm going to upgrade and then I'll be done for good with an 8.30 set composite grade. The next level up is too rich for my blood!
Special thanks to Ed Clark, JC Korth, and especially joker73 for helping me plug the holes.
Now, what is next? I'm thinking about doing the 1963 Dodgers all in 8s. Some of those regional issues have caught my eye as well. I had a ton of Bell Brand Dodgers when I was a kid. Now they are freakin' expensive! I would really like to collect a full set of something baseball (a standard issued set rather than a player or team set) but I don't want to embark on a 598+ card set anytime soon. I want to work up to that. When I was a kid, I put together a complete 1963 Fleer set (with Adc**k but no checklist). How tough would that one be in 7s or 8s? I love 1971 and 1972 but they are way to big to do in all PSA for me (well, it could take 10 years and who knows if PSA will even be around - I hope they will be!).
Any recommendations would be helpful. I'm sort of in limbo right now. I'm 18 cards away from my 1966 set of which about 10% is PSA graded 7 or higher. I'll knock that one out in due time. Until I figure out my next move I'll continue to try and complete my Dodger team sets in raw form. snore. boring. I need a challenge that is more concrete!
Thanks for reading my post.

Good luck.
Congrats!
Congratulations! Great job.
The '82 Fleer is tough. Believe it or not, it is the only card that I need to complete my Willie Stargell Basic set. I have one at PSA right now. I have opened boxes of '82 Fleer and there are cards that are notoriously hard to find in high grade. Best of luck in your search for an upgrade. I'll see if I have any that may be worthy of a PSA 9 and I'll let you know.
JEB.
Great Job...Congrats!

Not too hard if you have the cash....cards #1 & #66 will be the toughest to land in PSA 8. The Checklist still sells well in PSA 8 also.

I'm still trying to find ONE Rose card to add to my "soon to be added" 3000th hit list set!
Not sure if I should be looking for his RC or just a nice copy of another card. 1965 Topps is one of my favorites of his.

Just wait until the OPC's and Leaf cards get added to the Basic set. :=)
