I was fortunate enough to purchase 4 Walkers from this collection that Pinnacle Rarities recently acquired.... The G.B.W. collection took 15 years to assemble, and you can find the entire set in its entirety in the registry set listed as the current # 1 finest, and the the all time finest set of walkers ever to be slabbed in in one collection....... 3 of the 4 coins I purchased are attribute to Jack Lee..... I would like to thank Mark Feld, and Scott Schechter for giving me the opportunity to purchase these 4 Walkers that are a once in a lifetime opportunity... The 4 coins are as follows.... 1942-D ms68, 1943 ms68, 1940 ms68, and 1947 ms67 All look in person just as they are shown here except you just can't see the shimmering luster that drips from them...

There now having done that I will say Congratulations Puff on some sweeeet looking ladies.
Now having said that I will say I have even quit looking on a couple of these sites for nicely toned Walkers as I know you've been snagging them and they give you the first shot at them probably. I couldn't be buying them in ms68 anyway. But man, all I really want is a nicely toned 1943 Walker. You think you could let me have a shot at one when you finish your set?

Congrats for snagging some truly awesome coins.

Awesome!
Staman.... You have a gorgeouis 1943 Walker!
Bear..... I don't know about the "nicer" man stuff! Probably a few that have a different opinion!
Thanks to all of you and I'm glad that you like them.....
BTW...... I just wish I took these pics! They were all taken by Scott Schechter of Pinnacle.... Are at least I think Scott took them, it could be one of there new employees they have now since they will have a regular income there for the next couple of months!
Bear.... Is your offer of residence in your cave still open!
Bring the coins.

I really think Walkers will be the first coin type I collect a date/mm set of once my 20th Century type set is done.
It looks like Liberty stepped in something on that 1942
But seriously, those are great looking coins.
prediction: someday when the "puff" collection is auctioned, some future collectors will bid very competitively for their once in a lifetime opportunity.
may it be faaaar into the future!

gimme a glass and the ugly one. >>
It's in the mail.
The 1947 is also my favorite LordM, even though it is is the lowest graded of the 4, but actually is extremely high end for the grade, and it wouldn't surprise me to to see it in a ms68 holder someday...... But not on my watch!
The 1942-D ms68's red spot that you mention is not at all distracting, or as noticeable in person and the luster just blast right through the color, and it is my second favorite.....
It's odd that you like the 1940 ms68 the best, as it is my least favorite..... But I wouldn't say it should be thrown out with the trash!
BTW..... 3 of these 4 Walkers are ex-Jack Lee coins.
