Found a nice Red BU 1934 DDO FS 013.79 as listed in the 4th edition Cherry Picker's Guide.....
The guide states that only 3 examples had been found to date....
Any updates as how many have been found and as to its value??
Look forward to your responses....

I wish I could help..Hopefully one of the copper specialists could chime in.
Neat find though. Was the coin that noticable that the DDO stood out? Or were you wearing out your eyes specificaly looking for varieties?
Tom
That I know there are only the ones reported in the CPG - to date. If you found one that would be a pretty big deal.

Thanks for the reply....
Found this one in an original roll......Strange that there was only one in the roll.......Should grade at least MS 64.....Great strike, but has slight smudge in the field behind Lincoln's head....Doubling looks exactly the same as depicted in the CPG....Very evident with a 10x loupe...
Thanks,

It slabbed out as PCGS MS 64 RED DDO FS 013.79....
I believe that this is the first 1934 DDO graded by PCGS...
NGC has three on record with the best two being MS 65 R/B and MS 65 Brown...
Have any of you heard of any other MS Red 1934 DDO in any condition??
Thanks in advance for you responses....

Does Wexler mention anything about the population of this variety?

Now I wish I hadn't thrown this one in the upcoming Heritage Auction....Here is the link if you want to take a look at the actual coin:
Heritage 1934 PCGS DDO MS 64 Red Fs 013.79....
Thanks again Millenium!

congrats if you indeed have it!
The 934 on the coin I found were not as high in relief as that in the Wexler photo.....
Must be a later die stage...How does yours look??
