    Yes, my skilling from that era is irregular in a very similar manner.

    From what I've seen they change their planchet supplier image during the 1830s.

    Clip, not "chip".

    Neat coin.

    I've had a few, and now that you mention it, one or two had clipped planchets.

    Nice coin you got there.

    Old Swedish coins come with all kinds of funny errors. Planchet clips are common on the copper coins. Another error that is commonly seen is off-center strikes. I have seen Swedish copper coins as much as 50% off centre!

    Quite a nice coin. But I would agree that during this period the rarity is the non-clipped coin! I think virtually every copper I own from Sweden between 1789 and 1815 is clipped... I wonder if they did it to adjust the planchet weight?
