Beautiful...
I can only make a variety comment if I had the book(which will be bought shortly). So there might not be to many poeple who can comment on it. I'll guess it has something to do with the chip in the upper wing. If it was a Morgan, well besides myself, many members collect them and could take a guess.
I'm keeping an eye on this post and will wait for the answer myself.
Nice coin

I hate it when you see my post before I can edit the spelling.

You often see Flying Eagles with great feather detail but
poor head detail. You could have great tail and wings
(which would technically make it EF) but have a lousy head.
This one has a nice head but just too much wear for EF.

Hint: this is a variety, it is slabbed in an ANACS holder
ANacs probably says EF but it isn't.
I can't quite tell if it's a "Type of '56" and certainly cannot tell if it's a DDO.
I can tell it is not an S7 or S9 but it might be an S8.....just can't make out enough on the reverse.
I couldn't see any Die Clash marks at all, even with a blow up of the pics. I figured maybe the repunch date (S11) only because I have never seen a picture of this one and it's the only other variety that I know of.
A clue, a clue
