That is a buzz phrase I have become tired of as well. Since most of us mainly do online stuff, how are you supposed to buy the coin and not the holder, especially with some of these pictures where the coin looks like some distant planet?

I'd gladly buy the coin if the price of the holder wasn't included with it!

I'm finding that the plastic in many cases dictates the asking price,... what a shame.

There are, however, some dealers and collectors in this forum who look beyond the "trends" when pricing their offerings, and make it possible and affordable for others who don't have money flying out their butts to add some very fine pieces to their collection.

Go ahead and puke, Russ. In the short time I've been around here I've seen "the phrase" myself many times, and I'm sure to see it many more.
It's going to happen whenever someone (newbs in general) asks about making a purchasing decision of a particular coin based on it's value in a particular slab, so I offer you a virtual bucket to heave in.
