Thomas A. Edison Commemorative...Back Ordered

I realized that the pre issue discount was about to expire on the Thomas A. Edison commemoratives, and I went on line this afternoon and ordered a few of each. When I checked out/ finalized my order, the status of availability said "Item is Backordered".

I wonder how many they struck for the initial release ?

    Got mine a few days ago (Unc). Is a very nice strike with clear fields. Proof still on backorder.

    I posted a thread on these Commems on the Registry board.

    Bottom line is they have been a tougher coin to slab MS70 in the early going at PCGS with a 1.5% MS70 rate on a 200 coin submission lot.

    I got one of those pre issue discount things in the mail, sent it in several weeks ago. I too got an email stating they were backordered. I only ordered one proof coin! I have since ordered two other items from the Mint and both got here within days, still havent' recieved my Edison coin yet! What gives?
